RAPID ( Residents Association & Police Initiative for Development )
The main objective of the Policing is to
maintain order, to prevent and detect crimes and to enforce law for ensuring
safety and security of the public. The main objective of RAPID is to maintain
harmonious relationship between Police and Residence associations.
RAPID constitute a core committee from the
representatives of the residence associations in the district. The committee
holds its meeting twice in a month chaired by the District Police Chief. A
general body meeting is held on every second Saturdays to discuss what are the
important issues on which Police initiatives are required.
The RAPID conducts awareness programs and
workshops for the residence of that area.
