Clean Campus Safe Campus

As part of the program of &ldquoClean Campus Safe Campus&rdquo, the district level monitoring committee has been formed in a meeting held at Collectorate, Kannur on 05.07.2014. The District Collector, Kannur is the Chairman and the District Police Chief is the Convener of the committee. As per the decision taken in the meeting Police conducted raids in the shops situated in various school premises and detected tobacco products and registered number of cases. Awareness classes were conducted in all schools against use of intoxicating substances among students. Besides, rallies, seminar, exhibition were also held in other places as part of the program. The district level meeting was held at the Chamber of District Collector on 26.12.2014 with the participation of the committee members. It is decided to extend the project in Govt. & aided colleges also, to take stringent action against the selling of tobacco products in school premises, to watch the cyber cafe, mobile phone recharge shops against misuse of internet, etc. To erect traffic sign board at school premises. To take prompt action on the petition received from the petition box installed in the schools. Continuous Checking is conducted in premises of School, College campus for detecting tobacco allied substance and cases registered.
