District Police Head Quarter
District Police Head Quarter is deployed whenever the local police need a short of manpower in law and order maintenance. Guard duty, Prisoners Escort Duty, Personnel Security Guard duties etc are also entrusted to District Police Head Quarter. The District Police Head Quarter Camp, Wayanad is at Puthoorvayal . The District Police Head Quarter Wayanad consists of two wings under one Assistant Commandant each. The followings are also under the supervision of charge of District Police Head Quarter
Motor Transport wing of Wayanadpolice is functioned at District Police Head Quarter Puthoorvayal and it is direct control of officer in charge of District Police Head Quarter. At present an officer of the rank of Sub Inspector of Police is holding the charge of Motor Transport Office. Vehicles of Wayanad district are properly maintained. Drivers, Unit Mechanic and users are clearly and sufficiently briefed in this regard.
Quarter Master Store is functioning under the direct supervision of officer in charge of District Police Head Quarter of Police &ndashI. At present an officer of the rank of ASI is holding the charge of Quarter Master. Arms and ammunitions are under the control of QM.
An armour office is functioning in this unit. Armour Sub Inspector is holding the charge of Armour Office. All arms and ammunitions kept in various Police Stations and offices in Wayanad are inspecting in this Armour Shop.
